It takes a big heart to grow little minds.
Truer words have never been spoken. Seriously. I’ve volunteered in my son’s kindergarten class before and I can tell you right now, if I were a teacher I’d lose my shit in no less than the first five minutes of each and every single day.
These wonderful people deserve chocolate… lots and lots of chocolate.
Finley and I decided we would put together a special package for his teacher this year with a jar of chocolates and a special book for the classroom. We picked “HUG TIME” by Patrick McDonnell because both the message and the illustrations are pure gold. It’s one of our all-time favorite reads at home, hopefully his teacher and classmates will enjoy it just as much as we do.
If you’re looking for a last minute, super simple, gift idea for your kids’ teacher this might be it. You can download the labels, along with a “big heart” tag that your kids can write a special message on, here (click here to download.)
I suggest something like “Dear Mrs. Peabody. You are the best for putting up with me picking my nose and eating it every day. Love – Gross Kid.”
(Labels are sized to fit standard canning jars, available at Michael’s or other crafting supply stores)
